This is what the floor looked like before tiling. Very poor condition, ugly and extremely worn.

The old dishwasher finially died. The new dishwasher's door was longer than the old one, when open. I had to move the base cabinet toward the sink cabinet and install the dishwasher facing toward the door and build a side panel to hide the side of the dishwasher. That eliminated the spot for the spice rack. I therefore built and installed the slide-out shelves to accommodate the spices.
