REM Construction & Remodeling, LLC is a fully licensed and insured Connecticut-based Home Improvement Contractor since 2005 and beleaves that building it right the first time eventually saves the customer considerable  expense in the long run.
Ronald E. Martin is the owner and founder with over 25 years experience in multiple areas of construction.

Ronald E. Martin owner/founder of REM Construction & Remodeling, LLC started the company in 2005 in order to provide the Quality Craftsmanship that was lacking with larger and other smaller Home Improvement construction companies.  He discovered that most of the Home Improvement operations lacked the professionalism and skill to produce a Quality Product that customers paid dearly for and ultimately were not satisified with the end results. On every project that I undertake and I go the extra mile for my customers to ensure that the finished product exceeds their expectations.  I handle each and every project with integrity and experience.

Ron has over 25 years of experience in various fields of the construction industry.  He graduated from the Commerical Diving Center located in Willington, CA and worked for approximately 8 years as a Commerical/Professional Diver on Underwater Construction, Salvage, Underwater Inspection projects and Marine Surveys in areas of California, New Orleans, New England, and the Bay of Fundy, Canada.  This experience developed his skill in rigging, shoring, welding, concrete work, both above and underwater, and Marine Construction/Repair.

Ron has also worked on Bridge Repair, Ironwork, Core Drilling and Marine Vessel Operation.
He became an Emergency Medical Technician and went on to become a Paramedic which occupied his time for 15 years.  After which, he spent 3 1/2 years in the Law Profession as a Paralegal.

I found the paralegal experience to be useful in setting up my business as well as other legal matters and the paramedic experience is of great value on a construction site.

After working many years for other contractors, Ron finally settled down in the carpentry trade developing his skills in Framing, Light Plumbing, Light Electrical, Kitchen Refacing/Renovation projects, Extreme Bathroom Makeovers (I have recently completed a custom bathroom renovation valued at $10,000.00, which included tiling the floor and tub surround, also building a custom floor - to - ceiling cabinet and vanity), Ceramic Tiling, Building and Repairing Decks, Privacy Partitions and Building Sheds.

Ron firmly believes continuing education is a requirement to being resourceful and successful.
Research is a key component to being resourceful by aquiring new information and developing new methods of renovation and remodeling.  Ron applies the combination of the vast skills developed, coupled with newly aquired information, allowing him to overcome difficult situations, which at times, required incorporating some creative carpentry (thinking outside the box) to develop the desired results that the customer requested in order to deliver a quality product that can be enjoyed for years.
